Angela Dayton
Angela Dayton has first-hand knowledge of the skills and competencies that American businesses are looking for in the future workforce. While working for the US Department of Labor, she met with over 2,000 industry leaders from companies like Marriott, BMW, Bank of American, Astrazenca and IBM. She also met with leaders for professional organizations like the National Restaurant Association, National Association of Manufacturers, and the Automotive Youth Education Foundation. During these meetings, she found out firsthand what skills and training they are looking for in future employees.
Angela has helped identify and develop solutions for the critical workforce challenges facing American businesses. Her knowledge and expertise in Your Steps Toward Success Workbook will offer new insights and prepare future employees who are ready to tackle the hottest careers of the future.
Angela has twelve years of training and development experience. She served as the Coordinator for President George W. Bush’s High Growth Job Training Initiative, as the Senior Instructional Designer for the U.S. Department of Labor, as a Training and Communications Project Manager for Morgan Stanley, as an Independent Facilitator for Franklin Covey, as a Trainer for Delta Air Lines, and as the National Western Region Vice President for DEX, the college division of DECA. Angela also started and operated two businesses – AP Management and Dayton Consulting.
Angela holds a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Technical Sales from Weber State University. She has been a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), and was a national leader for DECA, an Association of Marketing Students, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
The phrase “Step Toward Success” represents Angela Dayton, and now she is sharing her expertise and knowledge through the Your Steps Toward Success Workbook and Career Resource Workbook.
